THE RAPE OF LONDON – MONEY TALKS … BUT NOT THE TRUTH

THE RAPE OF LONDON – MONEY TALKS … BUT NOT THE TRUTH

Rape and sexual abuse has skyrocketed since Uber came to London and persuaded Transport for London to deregulate the Taxi and Private Hire industry, to accommodate their work model.

Everyone in authority knows about the rapes. Some choose to do nothing, while others are actively involved in assisting this disgraceful crime. To get over criminal cases, The Law Offices Of Michael H. Pham Facebook Page need to be hired.

A silent version of Boris Johnson, Mayor Khan
Two years ago the Birmingham Mail and the hosts for the Crime show reported that Birmingham City Council hid links between Asian minicab drivers and child sex victims for twenty three years.
With recent child exploitation scandals in Rotherham and Rochdale, a normal thinking human being would take it for granted that every taxi authority and council in the country would be tightening regulation, not relaxing it.
But the normal human being would not be factoring greed, political ambition and business aspirations, into their thought process.
They would just be thinking about protecting the public.
Protecting the public is not part of the deal. Becoming rich, being promoted, being elected is part of the ‘Owners’ deal.
No one in authority cares about you or me. Unless it is election time.
Six hundred Private Hire minicab licenses are issued in London every week. Yes every week!
Standards have been lowered to gutter level to accommodate Uber.
David Cameron and George Osborne actively supported the deregulation, the flooding of the minicab market, and openly lobbied for Uber.
Goldman ‘Government’ Sachs know about the rapes and sexual assaults, but do they care? Yes they do care, about profit margins. And if those statistics get out into the public domain, it might effect their investment.
Minicabs and Taxis have worked in London for decades.

There were some reputable minicab companies, who have gone to the wall, because of self interested people in authority like Sajid Javid, who openly promoted Uber and refused Mayor Johnson’s plea to cap minicab licenses. And Baroness Susan Kramer who fought to abolish Cross Border Control, taking the authority to control minicabs away from councils.

Someone has to get the message out there.
We have active bodies prostituting themselves, such as the IEA, which is chaired by the mother of Rachel Whetstone, an Uber executive, who made a video, staring young women, calling for even more deregulation. These women were actively and consciously telling other young females to use Uber, totally aware of the statistics of recent minicab rape and sexual assault. They shamed themselves and betrayed their sisters for money. It is better to find birth injury lawyers and have them by your side when you are deeply into any crisis at any point of time in your life.
And CityAM, a throwaway freebie magazine, who fully understand the dangers of rape and road traffic accidents in Uber cars, but still choose to write adverts in the guise of stories to promote Uber. People can check a bicycle accident law firm in NC for the best accident lawyers.

Lets face it, if you write for CityAM you have not quite made the grade in your chosen profession, have you. But that does not give you carté blanche to brazenly prostitute yourself for rape appeasers.

Wicked Witch of the IEA, Linda Whetstone
Do you remember Unite and Tom Watson? Unite are the union-come-political party who put Sadiq Khan in office.
And Tom Watson is the one who Tweets about his cat and stabbed Jeremy Corbyn in the back.
Well they promised us the Earth a year and a half ago. Heard anything from them lately?
Unite have the money and the power to take TfL to court and force a public inquiry. But according to Unite, TfL are doing a marvellous job.
So on the face of it, we have another whitewash, where people get raped, abused, injured and killed, but no one will be found accountable.
Every MP and every member of the House of Lords knows about the rise in rape and sexual assault, and the accidents and injuries, by satnav-watching, inexperienced, unqualified, unvetted Uber drivers. If they claim ignorance, they need to step down. It is necessary to find a qualified personal injury lawyer practicing Yakima and bring  an end to all the sufferings of the victims involved in these types of cases.
Mayor Sadiq Khan was forced to publicly acknowledge last year’s rape stats by David Kurten MP, a UKIP member of the GLA.
Khan was quick to point out that not every sex offender was an Uber driver (only 32 out of 154). Correct, but the deregulation that allowed for unsavoury drivers to slip through the net was brought about by Uber coercing and enticing TfL.
What Mayor Khan failed to inform the GLA was that those stats were incomplete. Those figures, gleaned from a Freedom of Information query, were from only six of London’s thirty two boroughs. And that the stats did not count minicab touts or those drivers who committed their crimes whilst their Uber app was logged off, or was moonlighting for a bit of cash unbeknownst to their minicab employer.

Now take into consideration what the Metropolitan Police and Rape Crisis tell us, that only ten percent of rape and sexual assault victims come forward, we are looking at over eight thousand attacks in 2015 alone!

Uncaring and unmoved, Val Shawcross
At the moment, TfL and the Mayor’s Office are refusing to release the latest minicab rape and sexual assault figures, due two months ago, claiming they need more time.
More time for what? They have the stats. Are they massaging and manipulating them?
Are the authorities, like Birmingham, like Rotherham, like Rochdale, like many others across the country, suppressing and reshaping the truth?
If Sadiq Khan and Val Shawcross really cared, they would inform the public.
Khan and Shawcross played the Taxi and legitimate Private Hire industry.
THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR ME, OR OUR CHILDREN!

New UberX Service -Using Licensed Taxis- Launches In Cambridge….Hailed A ‘Disaster’.

New UberX Service -Using Licensed Taxis- Launches In Cambridge….Hailed A ‘Disaster’.

The UberX app has launched in Cambridge using Hackney Taxis. Already the scheme has been hailed a ‘disaster’ for other cabbies in the city.

The company claims the new app has already proved “hugely popular” with availability in more than 20 towns and cities across the UK.

But Rashel Mohammed, chairman of Cambridge Hackney Carriage Association which represents about 200 drivers in the city, claims Uber is a disaster for the industry.

He said: “Uber on the surface may seem like a reputable company. If anything- they are very destructive to the industry. As soon as they gain a strong hold, the balance of power shifts irreversibly in Uber’s favour. Then, both the drivers and passengers have very little choice.”

Paul Bradley, vice chairman of the association, said: “We don’t have a problem as they have a operator’s licence and have said they are using local private hires so are working within the law like our other companies.

“I’m not sure how they can use the Hackneys because it’s my understanding that Uber’s price is worked out on their app but hacks have to by law, use the meter set by the city council within the city boundaries.

“I would like to remind people that if it’s the technology people like our own company’s such as Panther and A1 Cabco have had this for a while available for download where you can load on your credit/debit card and track your taxi coming to you and your journey is recorded.

“My only fear is that if they get bigger here the London Uber Prius cars will then come along and cause similar chaos as they are creating on London roads.

“We welcome competition as long as it’s a fair playing field.”

And commenting on the News Facebook page, Florian Arapi said: “Disaster Uber, with drivers not knowing were they’re going. And the worst £5 charge if you cancel the ride, be careful don’t fell asleep on Uber you might end up miles from your destination.”

Simon Wynn added: “Good old Cambridge council giving a license to a company that is single-handily ruining a industry. A company that is worth billions while their driver’s work all the hours under the sun while making £5 an hour. Also with the City Deal we are meant to be getting cars off the road but they have now opened the flood gates to what could be hundreds and hundreds of so called taxis.”

The Uber app allows anyone to book a trip with a licensed private-hire driver at the touch of a button. Now users in Cambridge can download the smartphone app and book a taxi.

A journey to King’s College from the city rail station would cost £5.80 and from Market Street to the Science Park will cost from £8.65.

Fred Jones, Uber’s general manager in Cambridge, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be launching in Cambridge today. There has been a lot of anticipation for Uber’s arrival and already more than 20,000 people in the city have opened the app in the last three months. From today we’re looking forward to helping people get a safe and affordable ride at the touch of a button.

“This launch also means that locally licensed private-hire drivers can now apply to use the Uber app and become their own boss – choosing when they want to drive.”

All drivers using the Uber app in the UK are licensed for private hire and Cambridge drivers will have a license from Cambridge City Council which includes an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)  check – the same checks as black cab drivers and care workers

Are TFL facilitating Uber in Areas outside of London

Are TFL facilitating Uber in Areas outside of London

It has come to light that TFL licensed Private Hire vehicles are undertaking jobs outside of the London area even though TFL have stated that they have investigated Uber and their is no evidence of this occurring!

TFL state that it is not possible for Uber out of town drivers to be allocated London based jobs, but if TFL licensed drivers can be allocated jobs in other areas then one can only assume that out of town drivers can and will be allocated jobs within London by this unscrupulous company.

Right now the only ones with permits are  located at london based jobsthat  are assuming control in the transportation around the city and in the real estate business in a different road to transform this business as a benefit for this market, as there are many new options and opportunities in the real estate business. Read more about how to buy properties with real estate investors and get a huge profit.

Now lets continue with the ones being investigated by the state.

When a TFL licensed PH undertakes a job outside of London it totally circumvents any kind of enforcement as the local licensing authority has no jurisdiction over the vehicle and driver. TFL have enough trouble regulating their PH drivers and vehicles in London, so they are hardly likely to be able to regulate their licensed driver and vehicles undertaking jobs outside of London.

TFL are undermining licensing authorities around the country by allowing their PH drivers to work anywhere. Many of these PH drivers working for the Uber platform are also removing their license roundels to hide their identity, we are already aware that many are doing this to avoid being checked for having the correct Hire & Reward insurance, it also now appears that they are also removing the roundels to hide being detected for working in areas other than London.

TFL have already destroyed London’s PH and Taxi industry with their indiscriminate licensing of PH drivers, over 10,000 PH drivers have been licensed since Sadiq Khan became Mayor this year, but they seems to be not content with destroying this great city, they obviously now have their sights set on destroying licensing regimes around the Country.

The question has to be asked, are TFL licensing so many PH vehicles to facilitate Uber in areas other than London? Are they working hand in hand and giving Uber a constant supply of drivers to work across the Country? We have already heard of TFL licensed PH working in Brighton, Bath, Bristol, Southend, Dartford, Tunbridge, Crawley, Gatwick, Stansted, and many other areas.

TFL are quite clearly licensing far more PH vehicles and drivers than is required to service London, TFL have also not appealed to Parliament to allow a cap on the number of PH vehicles in London, so what is the motive here.

The time is coming where every Taxi and PH driver should descend on Parliament Square and demand action, demand that the Government gets to grip with this unscrupulous company which has scant regard for the law or any licensing regulations.

GMB reveals email from company which claims tribunal ruling on self-employed status only affects two drivers who brought the case

The GMB union has accused Uber of misleading its drivers by claiming last week’s tribunal decision on working conditions only affects two drivers involved in the case.

In a long-awaited judgment, an employment tribunal agreed with two drivers for the ride-hailing app that Uber’s drivers were not self-employed and should receive the “national living wage”, annual leave and other benefits. Uber has said it will appeal against the judgment.

James Farrar and Yaseen Aslam brought the case on behalf of a group 19 Uber workers who argued they were employed by the San Francisco-based company and not working for themselves. Lawyers said the victory would affect their fellow Uber drivers and have implications for tens of thousands of workers in the so-called gig economy.

But the GMB said Uber sent an email to its 40,000 drivers on Friday, signed by its regional general manager for northern Europe, Jo Bertram, who was criticised by the tribunal judges for using “twisted language” and for being “grimly loyal” to her company.

Bertram’s email to the drivers said: “As you may be aware, earlier this year a small number of London partner-drivers brought a claim to challenge their self-employed status with Uber. Although we have today heard that this challenge has been successful at this first stage, it’s very important to note that today’s decision only affects two individuals and Uber will be appealing it.

“There will be no change to your partnership with Uber in light of this decision and we will continue to support the overwhelming majority of drivers who tell us that they use the Uber app to be their own boss and choose when and where to drive.”

The tribunal judges dismissed Uber’s claim that its London operation was a mosaic of thousands of small businesses linked by a technology platform as “faintly ridiculous”. They said Uber resorted to “fictions, twisted language and even brand new terminology” to portray their drivers as self-employed.

In their judgment, the tribunal judges singled out Bertram for criticism and quoted from Shakespeare’s Hamlet to cast doubt on her testimony.

“Ms Bertram spoke of Uber assisting the drivers to ‘grow’ their businesses, but no driver is in a position to do anything of the kind, unless growing his business simply means spending more hours at the wheel. Reflecting on the case, and on the grimly loyal evidence of Ms Bertram in particular, we cannot help being reminded of Queen Gertrude’s most celebrated line: ‘The lady doth protest too much, methinks.’”

Maria Ludkin, GMB’s legal director, said: “Even after the judge found Ms Bertram’s evidence lacked credibility and described her as ‘grimly loyal’, she continues to try and advance a misleading and false set of facts. The Uber judgment applies to 40,000 UK drivers, not two. Ms Bertram might be wise to think how this judgment reflects on her before she issues any more statements.”

Uber will take the case to the employment appeal tribunal, and following its decision there could be further hearings in the court of appeal and then the supreme court. Any payments due to drivers will not be calculated until that process is over.

Other drivers with the firm will not automatically receive payouts but, if the company accepts the ruling, it will have to change its contracts to avoid more cases being brought by drivers. Lawyers say that Uber’s terms and conditions are similar for all of its UK operatives.

GMB also rejected Uber’s claim that its drivers earned an average £16 an hour and that most wanted to keep the flexibility their current contracts provide.

Ludkin said: “This judgment in no way affects driver flexibility, it merely guarantees them basic employment rights. Uber’s decision to appeal that is purely related to protecting their ample profits and nothing to do with protecting the drivers.”

Meanwhile other cases are likely to follow the Uber judgment. Cycle couriers are making similar claims against firms including CitySprint, Addison Lee, eCourier and Excel. Law firms are also talking to workers at Deliveroo, which delivers meals by cycle and motorbike.

An Uber spokesman said: “The ruling would affect the two drivers that were the test cases in the tribunal. However, while we appeal this judgement drivers that use the Uber app remain independent and able to choose when and where they drive.”

Uber driver accused of sexually assaulting intoxicated teen passenger

Uber driver accused of sexually assaulting intoxicated teen passenger

An Uber driver has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting his teen passenger in Orange County, Calif., police said Wednesday.

Police say Samer Mahran, 23, was taken into custody on Saturday.

Officers said that around 2:30 a.m that day, the driver picked up his passenger — a 17-year-old female who was intoxicated —  in Huntington Beach.

The teen’s family reportedly used the Uber app to track her down when it seemed to be taking a long time for her to arrive home. The station reports that police say the app showed the car was stopped near the girl’s home in Laguna Beach.

Police say witnesses confronted Mahran, who was allegedly in the back seat with the girl.

Sgt. Tim Kleiser of the Laguna Beach Police Department told the station that the witnesses “got the victim out of the vehicle” and then that Mahran “hopped into the front seat and fled off” before police arrived.

Mahran reportedly bailed out of jail.

An Uber spokeswoman wrote, “We’re devastated by what their family has gone through and our thoughts are with them. We’ll continue working with police to support the investigation and proceedings. The individual has been permanently barred from the app.”

According to Uber, Mahran went through the required background checks and passed.
