The Ladies of “Save Our Black Taxis”, (Facebook group and Twitter campaign), currently with 4885 members, have given our trade a double tonic and woken up many of the doom and gloom dinosaurs.
These wonderful Ladies have arranged a wives and girlfriend on foot demo for the 31st July, Windsor House, which will compliment the UCG’s three major demos.
The group are arranging to confront TfL in Victoria on behalf of their husbands and boyfriends.
We need every driver to play his/her part, so start by adding your families and relatives etc to this cause. Search for them on FaceBook and request to join group.
For the media spotlight to become focused and bright we need the support of the LTDA, LCDC, Unite and RMT to become part of these demos.
I urge you all to contact your union or organisation you are members of, to ask them constructively to join all the forthcoming demos and show the world and TFL we are a united front.
The time has come for the cab trade to unite and move forward.

Also, it’s about time our trade auxiliary businesses stood behind our struggle and started to help fund posters and cab publications, so the public can see and read what TFL are doing to us. Don’t forget if we go, they go too.
